Privacy Policy

This explains what Mobile JobCard collects, how it's used, and how it's protected. Because each shop owner hosts their own backend, the shop owner is the data controller for their customers' information.

01Information We Collect

  • Shop information such as business name, address, city, GST number, and contact details.
  • Staff information including name, mobile number, and assigned role.
  • Customer information including name, mobile number, address, and optional email address.
  • Device repair information including brand, model, IMEI/serial number (when entered by the shop), issue description, repair notes, accessories received, and service history.
  • Photographs captured by the camera to document device condition, proof of delivery, invoices, or customer consent.
  • Identity verification details such as Aadhaar number, invoice number, and supporting photographs or videos, only when voluntarily entered by the shop for repair documentation.
  • Payment records, invoices, job card history, and khata (credit ledger) balances.
  • Authentication information such as mobile number used for OTP verification during registration and login.

02Permissions Used

  • Camera: Used only to capture photographs of devices, invoices, customer documents, and repair records.
  • Internet: Required to synchronize data with the shop owner's server and enable application features.
  • Call Phone: Allows users to directly call customers from within the application.
  • Notifications: Used to deliver important alerts, job updates, and service notifications.

03How We Use Your Information

  • To create, update, and manage repair job cards.
  • To maintain customer and repair history.
  • To manage inventory, payments, staff accounts, and reports.
  • To communicate repair progress and delivery status with customers.
  • To generate invoices and maintain service documentation.
  • To improve application stability and security.

04Push Notifications

  • The application uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send important notifications such as job updates, account alerts, and system announcements.
  • Firebase may process device identifiers necessary for reliable notification delivery.

05Where Your Data Is Stored

  • Mobile JobCard is a self-hosted solution. Business data is stored on the server selected and managed by the shop owner.
  • We do not operate or host customer business databases. Server security, backups, user management, and access control are the responsibility of the shop owner or their administrator.

06Data Sharing

  • We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with advertisers.
  • Information is shared only when necessary to provide requested services, such as Firebase Cloud Messaging for notification delivery.

07Data Security

  • Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information during transmission and storage.
  • Shop owners are responsible for securing their own servers and controlling access to stored business data.

08Your Rights

  • Customers may request access, correction, or deletion of their personal information by contacting the repair shop that collected the data.
  • Shop owners may edit or remove customer and repair records subject to applicable legal or business record retention requirements.

09Account Deletion

  • Users may request deletion of their Mobile JobCard account and associated personal information at any time.
  • If account deletion is supported within the application, users can navigate to Settings → Delete Account and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Alternatively, users may submit a deletion request by visiting https://mobilejobcard.com/delete-account or by contacting support at chiragsingh9123@gmail.com.
  • Upon successful verification, the user's account and associated personal information will be permanently deleted within 7 days, unless retention is required by applicable law.
  • Business records such as invoices, payment history, tax records, or other information that must be retained for legal or accounting purposes may be kept for the period required by applicable law.

10Children's Privacy

  • Mobile JobCard is intended for use by businesses and repair professionals. It is not designed for or directed toward children under 13 years of age.

11Changes to This Privacy Policy

  • We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any significant changes will be reflected in the latest version available within the application or on our website.
